SUMMARY:International Day of Peace Walk
DESCRIPTION:International Day of Peace Walk\nWalk for your Peace of mind and an extra mile for Peace! \nFor more information:  email us at info@pophonebox.com   \n  \nDate: Thursday\, September 21 & Saturday and Sunday\, September 23rd & 24th.\nTime: 12noon -4pm\nLocation:  New York City\, New Jersey\, Connecticut (the Tri-State)\, and around the World\nTarget Audience:  Everyone. \n  \nWear Green to be in Unison! \n  \nBackground\n1981\, the United Nations General Assembly declared\, in a resolution sponsored by the United Kingdom and Costa Rica\, the International Day of Peace\, to be devoted to commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace.  Put simply\, it aims to build a more peaceful world for everyone who lives in it. Peace affects almost every aspect of our lives. Each year\, the United Nations chooses a different theme for this special day\, for example ‘End racism: build peace’ or ‘Climate action for peace’. \nInternational Day of Peace Walk\, (UNGA Week of International Affairs)\nThe International Day of Peace Walk\, the initiative\, is of the belief that Peace is personal and starts from within.  Peace is firstly about our personal wellbeing which might mean our health.  Unless we can continue to enjoy that breadth of life\, we may find ourselves helpless to someone else close to us or most certainly to people crying out for help from the distance. \nThe International Day of Peace Walk\, the initiative\, is of the belief that Peace is personal and starts from within.  Peace is about our wellbeing and our health.  Unless we can continue to enjoy that breadth of life\, we are helpless to ourselves and of course to others. \nOn this year’s momentous occasion of International Day of Peace on Thursday September 21\, 2023\, the International Day of Peace Walk\, the initiative\, calls on every New Yorker and people in the tri-state area\, and others around the world\, to join us in unison and “Walk for your peace of mind and add another mile for Peace”. On the 21st\, we call on all to park their car\, their bicycle\, their mule\, and camel\, and walk.  Walk\, and Walk\, and Walk.  Walk in appreciation for the gift of walk we come to expect the very first time an infant takes his magical first step.  Start walking on this day of the 21st for your wellbeing and never stop walking.  Walk even more if you are more than able\, and think of others less fortunate who may be grounded in place by hunger\, by paralysis\, by a condition they are born with.  We are reminded of Queen Mother Blakely’s Little Angel\, her daughter Ini\, severely disabled from birth\, whose beautiful spirit\, although bed-bound\, blesses everyone who drops by her room for a visit. \nWe are also reminded of our friend Donna Tsufura\, the Dayako\, who recently lost her beloved mom this year\, as we call on you to express your solidarity to the ideals of peace by helping an elder or recovering stroke victim to simply take a few steps across the room\, on the day of\, or the weekend of the September 21st day. \nWalk to your job. Walk to the grocery store\, to your errands. Walk in your neighborhood with a friend or two.  Walk in green if you can.  Walk for multiculturalism and diversity.  Walk wherever you are across the globe knowing that we stand with you every step of the way\, one heartbeat at a time! \n————————- \nWe will be walking to Times Square to join with our friends “Pause the World for Peace” organization to pause\, celebrate Walk and give thanks to the creator.  Rendez-vous 12:00 noon. \nFor more information contact us at info@pophonebox.com

SUMMARY:The New Jersey Invitation: Red Bulls vs. Austin FC Soccer Dedicated to Hispanic Heritage Month
DESCRIPTION:The New Jersey Invitation: Red Bulls vs Austin FC Soccer Dedication to Hispanic Heritage Month\n\nOpportunity for Friendship and International Cooperation\nFor more information:  email us at info@pophonebox.com or \nthe Lead Facilitator\, the Morris County Hispanic-American Chamber of Commerce \nat info@mchacc.org\nDate: Wednesday\, September 20\, 2023               Time: 7:30pm\nLocation:  Red Bulls Stadium\, New Jersey\nTarget Audience:  ALL \nDiscounted tickets are available through the Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce! \n  \nDescription\nOur New Jersey State-wide flagship event for the occasion of the United Nations General Assembly Week of International Affairs is a highly anticipated Red Bulls vs Austin FC match dedicated to the National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 – October 15).  The event aims to bring people together\, promote diplomacy\, and foster connections through a shared love for the sport. \nLeading this High-level event for New Jersey is the Morris County Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce\, an organization\, which as per its vision statement\, exists to represent the voice of Hispanic businesses that drive the economy in the County.  A global week of international affairs would not be wholesome without the international sport of soccer on display.   In fact\, the United Nations recognizes the broader goals of Sports for Peace and Development. \nTo the naked eyes\, a game being played on a National Month of Hispanic Heritage\, and at the same during the United Nations General Assembly Week of International Affairs\, indeed\, might serve to highlight both the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the sports\, and the local economy\, as was designated by the United States.  But from the standpoint of multilateralism and the United Nations\, the economic activities of Hispanic like that of other global ethnic consumers\, in particular their expenditures\, create a transnational impact in both the country Hispanics now call home and the countries of origin home away home (a concept evolving as the Diaspora Economy). \nAccommodations have been made to receive world leaders and diplomats attending UNGA as a show of international cooperation and cultural exchange.

SUMMARY:Global Partnerships Platform
DESCRIPTION:Global Partnerships \n\n\n\nThe recognition that the SDGs apply to everyone and that everyone has a role to play in their delivery opens exciting opportunities for exploring new partnerships.  In this sense\, there is a renewed emphasis across the United Nations on partnering with responsible civil society organizations and businesses to deliver sustainable development on the ground.  As the Addis Ababa Action Agenda noted\, we must focus on unlocking the transformative potential [of the private sector and invite] businesses to apply their creativity and innovation toward solving sustainable development challenges and to engage as partners in the development process”.  The United Nations General Assembly Week 78th Session presents an opportunity for multi-lateral Actions and Commitments in partnership with the private sector. The global partnerships platform invites all to submit ideas\, actions or commitments. A compendium of those partnerships will be made available on our 2030 Action network leading up to the next year’s Summit of the Future in September of 2024. Submit at partnerships@2030actionagenda.com Please visit our Partnership page.  To date\, 13 flagship partnerships have been registered. UN and business collaboration is not new\, but the models of partnerships have been evolving.  New patterns of development involve partnerships and alliances shaped by common interests and shared purpose\, and bounded by clear principles that encourage autonomy and synergy. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA call for transformational partnerships to drive systemic change\, in particular partnerships and social mobilization models that have the capacity to transform the ways in which the UN\, civil society\, governments\, and other stakeholders work with business to secure sustained and rapid realization of development goals. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
